Aylesbury Woodlands is an innovative mixed use development led by the provision of commercial premises to facilitate employment growth and delivery of the Eastern Link Road (South). It will also include residential housing, leisure and recreational opportunities plus a new primary school.
An outline planning application for Aylesbury Woodlands was submitted to Aylesbury Vale District Council, following extensive community and stakeholder engagement, and approved – subject to conditions and completion of planning (‘S.106’) agreements – on 26 October 2017.
In March 2020 Aylesbury Vale District Council issued a formal request under Regulation 22 of the 2011 Environmental Impact Assessment Regulations for further information regarding the Woodlands Planning Application (and several other current Aylesbury Vale planning applications) due to the publication of the Aylesbury Transport Model 2020.
In response to the Regulation 22 Request Buckinghamshire Advantage submitted an Environmental Statement Addendum and supporting information for the Woodlands Planning Application to Buckinghamshire Council in November 2020.
Buckinghamshire Advantage has subsequently worked with the planning authority and Environment Agency to update the flood modelling and Flood Risk Assessment for the site.
Buckinghamshire Advantage was delighted with the decision by Buckinghamshire Council’s Strategic Sites Planning Committee on 7th April 2022, and issue of the formal Planning Decision Notice on 14th April 2022, to give the green light to the outline planning application for the Aylesbury Woodlands development.
